I'm on an AI/ML Data Collections team at Apple.

August

Started community college. I was interested in Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Took my 1st computer science class. I was also working full-time because I was being raised by a single mother(My dad abandoned us when I was a child).

September

Dropped out during the Fall Semester because my full-time job interfered with my class schedule.

December

I discovered cgcookie.com and unity.com and started studying their self-paced courses and read the documentation to teach myself Game Development & 3D Animation on my own schedule.

November 4th

After nearly a year of self-education I started to work on my own tech company, Sci Interactive LLC. I started to build a 3D vocab builder app with custom Natural Language Processing algorithm's.

January

After spending thousands of hours trying to build a minimum viable product, I became homeless... so I gave up. I then taught myself html/css/javascript and started to do freelance web development, and I also did a bunch of odd jobs to pay the bills.

No degree's and no professional experience made it extremely difficult to find a job.

May

After teaching myself Front-end Web Development, I taught myself Back-end Web Development. I got good at PHP for server-side scripts and its sister language, SQL. This got me a job at Redstone Print & Mail and Mhetadata.

June

Due to the coronavirus I got laid off. I was unemployed for 6 months. While unemployed, I taught myself Python and cloud engineering on GCP.

January 6th

I got a job at Apple. I've been here ever since 🙂
